Cintec anchors are frequently used in structural repair and lateral restraint applications where a fixing has to be made into weak substrates such as rubble filled structures.

The principle of the Cintec anchor is that a fabric sock surrounds the main steel body of the fixing. This is then inserted into an oversized hole, which connects the two materials to be joined together. Once the anchor is in place, cementious grout is pumped under pressure through the anchor to holes at the far end where it can flow into the fabric sock. The sock expands under the pressure of the grout filling the hole and excess grout and bonding agent pass through the fabric to form a chemical and mechanical bond with the substrate.

Anchor size and length can be varied to suit the requirements of each individual application.
